In addition to providing great food, plus opportunities to purchase jewelry, clothing and other gift items, Temple Beth El donated 100 Mitzvah Meals to Power Packs, a local program that helps feed hungry school children and their families. Power Packs provides family meals for the weekend which are distributed on Fridays. The goal of this program is to keep children well-nourished so they can become active learners.
Our Artistry of Passover exhibit, held in our Temple sanctuary, was also well received by Food Festival guests. They had a unique opportunity to learn more about the Jewish customs and traditions associated with Passover.
This event was successful thanks to the combined efforts of the Food Festival committee and the entire Temple Beth El congregation.
