Temple Beth El recently celebrated a Beit Mitzvah weekend. Thirteen years ago, our congregation moved to its present location, and the temple decided to hold a special celebration weekend to mark this milestone. More photographs of the installation of our beautiful new stained glass windows, dedicated during the weekend, can be found on the Beit Mitzvah page.
It’s time to celebrate Chanukah!
Our Sisterhood Ladies Night Out Chanukah Dinner will be held on
December 10, 2015 @6:15 pm
Sukho Thai Restaurant
398 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster
Temple Beth El is committed to providing dinner for people in need through the Community Meal Program coordinated by the Lancaster Council of Churches at The First Reformed Church at 40 East Orange Street, Lancaster. This is the site for Tuesday meals that are provided throughout the year by various groups in the area. We provide the meal on the Tuesday before Christmas. This year, the dinner will be held on December 22.
The first program to be presented through the Beth Pomerantz Education Series (BPES), set for Saturday, December 5 at 6 p.m., will be THE STURGEON QUEENS, the story of the famed Lower East Side smoked fish emporium Russ & Daughters and the Jewish immigrant family who has run it for 100 years and four generations. The film will be shown following Havdalah and dinner.
