Temple Beth El will celebrate a Beit Mitzvah weekend from Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8. Thirteen years ago, our congregation moved to it’s present location, and the temple decided to hold a special celebration weekend to mark this milestone.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6
The weekend will begin with a Shabbat dinner, sponsored by the temple, at 6:15 pm on Friday, November 6. Services will follow at 7:30 pm, and will be led by students of our Religious School. The evening will conclude with an oneg dessert reception.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
The Beit Mitzvah celebration continues on Saturday morning, November 7, with Shabbat services at 9:30 am. Our new stained glass windows will be dedicated during the service. A Kiddush luncheon, sponsored by the Temple Beth El Sisterhood, will follow immediately after services.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8
A Sunday morning brunch, sponsored by the Temple Men’s Club, will be held at 9:45 am, following a morning minyan at 9:00 am. After the brunch, David Ascalon, of Ascalon Studios, Inc., will offer a presentation of the history of stained glass, and the manufacture, design and installation of the temple’s new sanctuary stained glass windows.
The stained glass windows are the result of our Fund for the Future campaign held to provide for future capital and operational needs of the Temple.
